Cheney's Knock-Out Blow On National Security

"Critics of our policies are given to lecturing on the theme of being consistent with American values. But no moral value held dear by the American people obliges public servants ever to sacrifice innocent lives to spare a captured terrorist from unpleasant things. And when an entire population is targeted by a terror network, nothing is more consistent with American values than to stop them."—Dick Cheney

Former Vice President Dick Cheney—so demonized in the mainstream media for the last 8 years—has delivered the most cogent defense yet of the Bush strategies on national security.

The contrast with the President's politically-loaded speech the same day is stunning.

Now That's A Stimulus Package!

A Maryland woman who has been dead for 40 years received her federal stimulus check recently in a story worthy of the joke site, The Onion. Only problem is, it's for real.

In a shining example of the new efficient Obamocracy, the $250 check was a tad late, since Rose Hagner passed from this mortal coil on Memorial Day, 1967. Rose's 83-year old son James stated, "I just want to keep it as a souvenir, that's all. I'll never cash it."

Accountability, at its zenith!
